Sustainability is Foundational to our Process

Fewer steps means less water used. Packaging made from recycled material. Certified organic ingredients from our vetted suppliers. No new props or fast fashion purchased for our brand photography.

The
Cliff
Notes

You buy less often. Fewer shipments. Less packaging waste. PREP is 100ml, PLUMP is 50ml. These sizes reflect real usage, not planned obsolescence.

Our frosted matte silver bottles are lighter than traditional glass, significantly reducing shipping emissions without sacrificing the premium feel you deserve.

We use recycled materials wherever possible because sustainability shouldn't be a luxury add-on. It should be baseline.

No parabens, no sulfates, no synthetic fragrances. We didn't need them to create formulations that work, so we didn't use them.

Water Stewardship

A Core Value
Afsheen grew up in East Africa, where water was never taken for granted. Showers weren't free-flowing, they were done with a bucket of limited water and a pail, where every drop had to count. You learned efficiency. You learned respect. You learned that resourcefulness and care are not sacrifices; they're intelligence.

That principle shaped how we formulated PREP and PLUMP.

Our 2-step system isn't minimal for aesthetics, it's water-conscious by design:

  • Fine mist spray {02 PREP} that uses less product per application while maximizing coverage
  • Airless pump {03 PLUMP} that dispenses precise amounts, eliminating waste
  • No rinse-off required in between steps, conserving the water you'd use washing off excess product

In an industry where beauty products are often 80% water and global water consumption for cosmetics reached 10.4 million tons in 2020, we chose a different path. Not because we're trying to be virtuous, but because we grew up knowing water is precious.

Carbon Footprint

What We're Doing, What We're Learning

The beauty industry's carbon footprint is staggering:

  • 30% of emissions come from raw material sourcing
  • 40% of emissions come from consumer use {primarily hot water for rinse-off products}
  • 120 billion units of cosmetic packaging produced annually, most ending in landfills

Our Approach:

  • California-based manufacturing for shorter supply chains for US customers, reduced transportation emissions
  • Lightweight packaging to lower fuel consumption during shipping
  • Ease of use in application of our 2 steps also leads to less waste overall

We're working toward comprehensive Product Carbon Footprint {PCF} analysis to measure our impact accurately across the entire lifecycle from ingredient extraction to end-of-life disposal.

Transparency requires data, and we're building that foundation now.

Behind the Lens

Our brand photography reflects our values.

For our launch campaign, every garment the models wore came from our own closets; no new purchases, no fast fashion, no waste. Baroque maximalism doesn't require new consumption. It requires creativity, curation, and the confidence to work with what you already have.

This is luxury; knowing that abundance isn't about acquisition, it's about resourcefulness made beautiful.
